The Clore Short Course I attended in 2012 came at a perfect time for me. I had been a manager for around 10 years but, I now realize, I was only just managing! Clore allowed me to look at how I work, what motivated me to work and to see that being a leader was much more than I had previously understood.

The most important lesson I learnt was that I can only manage my work life if I am managing my home life. I had thought the two were unrelated or at least in conflict with each other. This insight and tactics and tips to achieve this have proved invaluable since the course and have improved both my home and work-life immeasurably. It is a very supported environment in which to work on your leadership, with like-minded and sympathetic colleagues and empowering course leaders. That the courses are held in wonderful venues with great food helps too!

Since completing the course I have taken up a position as Deputy Director, something I couldn’t have considered before. I have no doubt that the experience of Clore contributed heavily to making me the person capable of getting this position.

The most useful two weeks you'll ever spend away from work!
