Short Courses applications
Please read the following information carefully before accessing the application form at the foot of this page.
Eligibility
Please click here for full information about the criteria for the Short Courses. This has recently changed so please read carefully.
Selection Process
• The Short Courses team will select applicants for each course in such a way that the broadest range of backgrounds possible is achieved - be that in terms of artform, gender, race or geography. Quality of application will also be considered in determining our final decision. We particularly welcome applications from people working in museums and libraries and from small and medium sized performing arts organisations.
• Only one application will be considered from the same cultural organisation for any one course.
• We will notify you of our decision by the deadline given. If more than one course is being advertised you may apply for a first and second choice venue. In this case it may be that all the places on your first choice course appropriate to your size of organisation have already been filled, in which case your application will be considered for your second choice Please only apply for dates that you are able to do as once participants are selected we may be unable to transfer your place.
• Of the 25 places on each course 7 are reserved for Band A applicants (individuals or small organisations with 1-10 employees); 9 places are reserved for Band B applicants (organisations with 11-75 employees); and 9 places are reserved for Band C applicants (organisations with 75+ employees)
• Approval of the selected candidates is made by the Director of the Clore Leadership Programme whose decision is final.
Nominator Support Form
• Applications will not be accepted without the Nominator Support Form. This applies even if you are freelance or run your own business. Completing the nominator support form can take time so we would strongly advise that you send the form to your nominator as soon as you start to complete the application form.
• If you work for an organisation, you can ask a line manager or board member to complete your nominator support form. If you are freelance we would suggest that you ask someone you have worked with to complete the form. However, in both cases it is more important to ask someone who knows you, who understands your leadership potential and who can identify how the course will benefit you.
